The mission of Tobacco Free Allegheny is to change the community norms surrounding tobacco, to make it uncommon to see use or be negatively impacted by tobacco or tobacco smoke pollution.
Tobacco Free Allegheny serves as a resource to the community providing education about all aspects of tobacco use and the harmful effects of secondhand smoke exposure. Tobacco Free Allegheny is committed to reducing the burden of tobacco on the community by investing in programs that help prevent youth from starting a lifelong addiction to tobacco and by helping schools implement true tobacco free school policies. Helping current smokers become former smokers, TFA offers group and individual support to smokers who want to quit. Tobacco Free Allegheny is active in the community taking part in many community events and other activities reaching out to the community with its pro-health messages.
